  • Welcome to my blogsite!

Hello, I'm a Vancouver, BC based photographer who loves shooting weddings, portraits, events, and more... please check out my portfolio galleries for a glimpse of my work!

A wedding photographer has an awesome responsibility. There is only one opportunity to get the shots of those moments. I am honored each time a couple puts their faith in me to deliver beautiful images.

I love working for couples who agree that getting the photography right on their wedding day is of utmost importance. After all, when it's all said and done, all that will remain of the flowers, decorations, cake... and just about everything else from that day will be the images of them that I have documented. They better be great!

I am normally a man of few words (ironically, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communications), and perhaps that's why I have gravitated to photography as a career - a picture is worth a thousand words, so I like to just let my images do the talking.

This is now my official web site!

It wasn’t long ago that I put up a whole new web site (just this past November). Well, seeing as  wanted to keep blogging (and get better a it!), and that particular site didn’t have blog capability built into it, I needed to find a new solution. Thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Tom Galassi, you are seeing the results of that search.

I like this “blogsite” idea a lot. It’s not only a place where people can find out all about me, and how to contact me if they would like to know more… it also allows me to very easily update it and keep it fresh! That’s pretty important for a Vancouver wedding photographer these days.

After a few technical hiccups in getting it live and working, I thought fireworks were in order. Actually, I took this shot during the Olympics, across from the Yaletown Livecity (where there was a fireworks display every night during the 2010 WInter Olympics in Vancouver).

Palm Springs Real Estate

I had the opportunity to go down to the Palm Springs area to stay with some friends of some friends. They had just bought a home in a gated community – swimming pool, hot tub, on the edge of a golf course…very nice indeed. Anyway, I might have my photography to thank for the invite (which of course suits me just fine), because I was encouraged to bring my camera down and take a few shots of the property to use to help them rent the home.

From my point of view, that was a bonus. I got to stay there for a few days, and I got to take photos! Maybe the headline of this entry should be: Vancouver photographer contracted to shoot architectural photos in Palm Springs!

If you’re interested in renting down in that area, let me know and I’ll hook you up!

Olympic Flame passes by my home!

Mere minutes ago the flame passed by our home. I took a few shots of the hand off onto the Olympic Line Street Car on it’s way to Granville Island. Go Canada Go!

Ivan’s Baptism Photos

This past weekend I had the honour of photographing little Ivan’s Baptism ceremony. I have Ivan’s mother Anita to thank for being a big influence in my decision to pursue photography seriously. When she asked me to photograph her wedding years ago, I was merely a serious amateur. It was after I saw my own images of the wedding that I thought I had something to offer this industry… the rest is history!

Thank you Anita!

Sandra & Anthony’s Vancouver Wedding

Sandra had always wanted a winter wedding. That’s why Anthony booked the reception hall for mid-december – even BEFORE he popped the question! As you can see, she said yes, to both the proposal and the wedding date. Though there was no snow, luckily we stayed dry with no rain all day.

Anthony’s relatives had come to Vancouver for the wedding from Toronto. I’m sure they were impressed with our winter greenery and the warm temperatures! All in all, a beautiful wedding day!
